1. Introduction

This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs refund and cancellation requests for bookings, services, or transactions made through the Seatup.in platform operated by Vostral Private Limited (“Seatup”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

Seatup operates as a technology platform facilitating transactions between users and independent merchants/service providers (“Merchant”).

2. Platform Role & Responsibility

Seatup:

• Provides an online booking and payment platform
• Does not directly provide the underlying merchant service (unless explicitly stated)
• Does not independently decide refund eligibility

Refund eligibility is determined by the respective Merchant according to their cancellation terms.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 User-Initiated Cancellation

Users may request cancellation subject to:

• The Merchant’s cancellation policy
• Time limits specified at booking
• Applicable service conditions

Submitting a cancellation request does not guarantee a refund.

3.2 Merchant Approval Requirement

Refunds will only be processed if:

• The Merchant agrees to the refund; and
• The Merchant formally initiates the refund request through Seatup’s system.

Seatup has no obligation to process refunds unless initiated by the Merchant.

4. Refund Processing Timeline

Once the Merchant:

• Approves the refund; and
• Initiates the refund via the Seatup platform,

Seatup will process the refund within 7 (seven) working days. “Working days” exclude weekends and public holidays in Kerala, India. Actual credit timelines may vary depending on:

• Bank processing times
• Payment gateway processing cycles
• UPI/card network timelines

Seatup is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment service providers.

5. Mode of Refund

Refunds will be issued:

• To the original payment method used; or
• To a bank account specified by the user (if permitted); or
• As platform credit (if agreed)

Seatup reserves the right to choose the appropriate refund method in compliance with payment regulations.

6. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds may not be available in cases including but not limited to:

• No-shows
• Expired bookings
• Violations of merchant policies
• Fraudulent transactions
• Chargeback abuse
• Partial use of services
• Incorrect booking details provided by the user

7. Failed Transactions

If a payment is debited but booking is not confirmed:

• The transaction may be automatically reversed by the payment gateway; or
• The user may contact support for resolution

Such reversals may take 5–10 banking days depending on the payment provider.

8. Disputes & Chargebacks

Users agree that:

• Filing a chargeback without first contacting Seatup may result in account suspension.
• Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to financial institutions and authorities.

Seatup reserves the right to contest chargebacks.

9. Service Fees

Platform convenience fees, gateway charges, or processing fees may be:

• Non-refundable unless otherwise stated;
• Deducted from the refund amount where applicable.
